The HIST group was working on a project to develop a resort comprising a hotel, villas, sports facilities, restaurants and conference rooms in Tangier. Within this context, the company wished to mandate an independent, sector-specialised firm to conduct a full market and feasibility study to validate the project’s commercial opportunity, to define the most suitable product and service concept and to assess the project’s financial feasibility.

Hotel project, Quai de Paludate, Bordeaux

Eiffage immobilier envisaged the construction of a hotel complex in Bordeaux, on the banks of the Garonne River. Within this context, the company sought to mandate an independent, sector-specialised firm to conduct a brief market study to analyse the commercial viability of the project given its market environment, to validate the product concept and to determine commercial performance levels.

Prospective study of visitors and positioning of the Musée National de la Marine in Paris

The Musée National de la Marine is getting ready to undertake a vast renovation programme obliging it to close for three years. This ambitious project seeks to reposition the establishment on several levels in order to increase visitor numbers: Scientific and Cultural project, business and service functions, image, etc. The assignment thus aimed to:

  • Identify what attracts visitors and test the various orientations within different client categories.
  • Provide the museum with client expectation elements and formulate recommendations for the development strategy.

Environmental and economic analysis of 15 wellness establishments for operating in an ecologically-sound manner

ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
 

Wishing to consider environmental and economic questions in the management and life cycle of wellness establishments, the Spa-a federation launched in 2013 a project to evaluate the sector. The assignment considered 15 wellness institutes in France (spa, thalassotherapy, balneotherapy, thermal), with the following objectives in mind :

  • Identify best practice to increase profitability and reduce environmental impacts
  • Promote innovative solutions
  • Propose relevant action plans for participating centres
  • Favour the emergence of new knowledge

Project management assistance for the reconversion of the Versailles post office into a hotel

ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
 

Poste Immo was examining the possibility of reconverting the Versailles post office into a hotel, and wished to mandate an experienced firm to:

  • Confirm the need for a hotel in the area, eventual commercial positioning and product offer (capacity / services)
  • Define the specifications for hotel investors / operators in order to launch a tender process and prepare the relevant documents
  • Assist in the search for a hotel operator during the tender process and advise on the operator selection with regard to profitability, image, risk criteria, etc.

Marketing strategy for museums located in Le Havre

The UNESCO label awarded to the reconstructed city-centre in 2005 and the development of the cruise industry have enhanced Le Havre’s standing. Yet, the city’s museums do not seem to be fully benefiting, whether in terms of visitor numbers or range of visitors. The city thus wanted to:

  • Define an overall marketing and communication strategy to increase the museums’ visibility and appeal.
  • Be assisted over a three year period with implementing action plans in each museum.

Residential and tourist golf complex project

The area of the Landes faces a dual challenge: to organise its territory properly and to respond to the seasonality of tourism activities. Within the framework of its development policy, the “Syndicat Mixte”, associated with the department, and the Marenne Adour-Côte-Sud community of communes envisaged a regional economic development project involving the construction of a golf course, a residential district and leisure facilities on the commune of Tosse. The project aims to strengthen French golfing facilities in preparation of the 2018 Ryder Cup.

Before deciding whether to continue or not, the Syndicat Mixte sought to evaluate the positive and negative impacts of developing such a project in the local environment.

Edgar Clerc museum of amerindian archaeology

Since its opening in 1984, the Edgar Clerc museum of Amerindian archaeology (“Musée de France”) has been reorganised on several occasions. From 2006 onwards, the objective has been to produce a scientific and cultural project (“PSC”) and to implement works on the collections. Today, the pre-operational and operational programming studies need to be conducted. Given this, the Conseil Général de la Guadeloupe has launched a consultation process for the architectural, technical and financial programming of the Edgar Clerc museum.

Definition of a leading cultural and tourism project for the Néron sugar refinery heritage site

Located at the heart of a vast natural area, the Néron site is a former sugar refinery and distillery that today shows the vestiges of its industrial past.

The Conseil Général de la Guadeloupe mandated our teams to conduct an overall assignment to enhance the site, in keeping with the development of a new form of “authentic” and “ecological” tourism.

Definition and feasibility of a centre for caribbean culture in Martinique

The Martinique Region wanted to instigate an ambitious cultural project that would promote the diversity of Caribbean cultures in a lively and innovative way. This “archipelago” venue – modelled on the Caribbean thought that combines history and ethnographic sources with a contemporary creation – aims to be an identity tool for opening the area up to the world.

The assignment constituted the first stage of the project by:

  • Defining what the future centre should be.
  • Determining its feasibility and putting in place the organisation that will allow it to exist.
