Tourism & leisure

In Extenso TCH advocates diversity and a forward-looking approach for increasing the tourism offer and for making destinations more attractive to tourists: urban tourism, rural tourism, mountain or coastal tourism, eco-tourism or nature tourism, guided trips, e-tourism, business tourism, social tourism, wine tourism, lodging, river tourism, health and wellness tourism, industrial tourism, leisure tourism, etc.

The reality of tourism consumption and market expectations impose a global and prospective vision of the sector. Efficiency can only be achieved if all a region’s resources (heritage, tourism and leisure) are pooled coherently.

This is precisely the conviction of IE TCH, whose experts provide support at each and every stage of the project’s cycle – from strategic consulting to operational implementation – making it easier to take the right décisions.

Lodging and tourism real estate

Historically specialised in tourist lodging, and more specifically hotels, IE TCH has progressively developed a comprehensive expertise in tourism infrastructure in a broader sense: apart-hotels, campsites, golf courses, thalassotherapy institutes, spas, convention centres, casinos, etc. This extensive industry knowledge enables us to incorporate all the tourism components likely to directly or indirectly influence a given territory in our assumptions and conclusions. It also provides us with an accurate vision when advising on resort-type projects that group different types of tourism infrastructure (spas, golf courses, conference centres, etc.): appreciation of how these structures complement each other, definition of the key success factors to optimise synergies between each, etc. .

Regional strategic planning

Specialists in strategy, we accompany local authorities of all sizes in conducting assessments and in defining jointly and putting in place their development strategies. Whether these involve culture or tourism in a broad sense, a specific branch (live performances, lodging, water sports, etc.) or concern a particular issue (planning, organisation, marketing, etc.), we use our experience in public policy and operations to define realistic strategies that can be executed as soon as the assignment begins.

Programming, project management and operation set-up

We regularly monitor projects up until their implementation – from programming to setting up the operation. Whatever your project, the assistance of a programming consultant is invaluable for correctly examining the various options. Programming involves step-by-step support, resulting in clearer project management choices at every stage, from the initial idea to the project’s realisation.

Operational optimisation

Companies, associations and local authorities often have to face situations that can harm their operations and / or curb their development: organisational inflexibility, rising costs, falling revenues, complexity of tasks, etc. In response to this, IE TCH has created customised methods and solutions for improving the overall performance of organisations.

Visitor monitoring and studies

With a vast experience in managing and facilitating tourism observatories / benchmarks and in piloting quantitative and qualitative studies on audiences and users, we can conduct studies on audience evaluation, observation and development in accordance with the client’s objectives and resources.

Acute attention is paid to issues surrounding audiences and clients, whether we are working for regions or for specific facilities.

Financial valuation

Appreciating the fair market value of a hotel asset (leasehold and / or freehold) is often necessary in the case of a sale, acquisition or renovation project. The method employed is crucial in determining the value, and must be based on cogent arguments. Seeking the opinion of an industry expert is thus preferable.  Each year, In Extenso TCH conducts around 50 or more valuations, forging its reputation in the industry. Our approach systematically includes a brief analysis of your property’s market environment, in order to provide the most accurate hypotheses possible.

The next step involves valuing the property using one or more of the following techniques, depending on the case:

  • “Static” methods»
  • Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) method
  • Comparable transactions method

Our expertise and savoir-faire in these branches helps us to base our analyses on in-depth field knowledge and to offer practical advice.
